Great Hearts Academies, the largest brick and mortar provider of K-12 classical education, is hoping to open a tuition-free charter academy in the Lake Charles area of Louisiana for the 2027-2028 school year. Great Hearts offers a high-quality education, with small class sizes, two teachers in every class room (grades K-5), and daily specials that include art, music, language, and physical education.

Year-over-year, Great Hearts graduates outperform the national and state averages on the SAT and ACT. 80% of our graduates earn merit-based scholarships, with 99% of our students immediately opting to attend college following graduation.
